The Red Sandalwood Tree
Red sandalwood (Pterocarpus Soyauxii) is a tree native to tropical Africa. The wood of this plant has a color that varies from bright red to orange, and is more resistant and compact than that of white sandalwood.
Red sandalwood (Pterocarpus santalinus), is commonly known as Indian red sandalwood. It is native to southern India, but is also found in Sri Lanka and other areas of Southeast Asia.
